Minecraft & Fortnite

Many students level-up faster academically when their textbook looks like a video game. Game-based learning appeals to multiple learning styles and can be the building blocks for outside-the-box problem solving. Video games like Minecraft are being employed in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) classrooms as examples of challenges that are open-ended and require creative approaches to problem solving. And because gaming engages multiple learning styles simultaneously, it offers students an opportunity to succeed outside of the traditional classroom paradigm and opens the door to education and career paths that students might not otherwise consider.*
